Graphic Design

This page is a portfolio for the graphic design and typography work I complete for school, fun, and profit.

Typographic Dragon

This was a fun project in my first graphic design class, VC 101. I was assigned to draw an animal using only type forms. The result is this bad ass dragon. The font used is Desdemona.

Personal Logo

I'm sure every graphic design student gets this one. In VC 251, I had to create a personal logo. I don't know if I'd ever use this, but it was a fun assignment.

Restaurant Logo

The fake restaurant logo. Another graphic design student classic. This one was for a restaurant I called Creations.

 Raptor

I was assigned to draw a chosen thing in the most desireable way possible. So I chose a raptor. The instructions were vague, but for better or worse this is the result of 50 sketches, 20 roughs, and 2 comps.
NAU Department Logos
I was assigned to create a series of unified logos for five departments at Northern Arizona University. From left to right: Music, Psychology, Nursing, Forestry, and Education.

Bob Peak Poster
I was assigned to create a poster for a fake exhibtion on a famous artist. I picked Bob Peak, father of the modern movie poster. Check out his amazing work here. All of the photo assets are cut from his posters. I sadly was not able to obtain higher-res versions.

Orpheum Layout

This is a layout for a fake magazine article on the Orpheum Theater in Flagstaff Arizona I completed for my typography class.

Game Politics Poster
This was a poster I completed in my typography class. I was assigned to create a poster about a political issue I'm passionate about.

SB1070 Response Poster
I had fun with this one. I decided to go the political cartoon route because I'd never done anything like that before.
